Railtrack and Marconi link to raise 3G masts
Telecommunications equipment firm Marconi and Railtrack have announced they will together form Euromast, a joint venture to erect 5000 3G masts on Railtrack land.

Telecommunications equipment firm Marconi and Railtrack have announced they will together form Euromast, a joint venture to erect 5000 3G masts on Railtrack land.
In return for handing over certain property rights, Railtrack will receive a 15 per cent stake in Ipsaris, the high-capacity optical network subsidiary of Marconi. Ipsaris will extend its network onto Railtrack land over the next 12 months and will be the connectivity partner to Euromast.
