Hands-on with BlackBerry App World 3.0

    RIM released their latest App World 3.0 software store for BlackBerry smartphones. As you can see in these screenshots, the UI has gotten a major refresh with additional functions. You can also see there are a number of applications in App World and BlackBerry devices really don't lack many key apps.

    BBM 6 provides APIs for developers to integrate BBM functionality into their apps and in App World 3.0 there is a category where you can quickly view the apps that are BBM connected.

    There are both Games and Apps categories in BB App World 3.0.

    You can view up to 25 Top Rated apps in BB App World 3.0.

    The apps you have installed are viewable in the My World section of App World 3.0.

    There are filter options in the My World section that include Installed, Uninstalled, Upgrades, and Subscriptions. If you have apps with updates available a red asterik will appear at the top of My World and under the application.
