Hands-on with the T-Mobile G2x dual-core Android smartphone

The T-Mobile G2x comes in the standard solid, colorful T-Mobile box with just a few accessories.
Check out my ZDNet Smartphones & Cell Phones blog post for more details and a video walk through of this new dual-core smartphone.
The front of the retail box shows a glossy image of the device.
When you open up the box you will find the G2x nestled in a compartment and ready for you to pick up and enjoy.
There isn't much else in the box except for a cable, charger, and some pamphlets. You don't get any microSD card with the device.
The G2x has a 4 inch display with 480x800 resolution.
The G2x is slightly narrower than many other large display smartphones and it feels great in your hand.
There is an HDMI port on the top of the G2x, between the 3.5mm headset jack and power button.
There are two simple volume buttons on the right of the G2x.
There is a speaker, mic, and microUSB port on the bottom.
An 8 megapixel camera and single LED flash are found on the back of the G2x.
There are four capacitive touch areas below the display on the front of the G2x.
Notice how the glass curves around the sides and corners a bit to give it a very finished look and feel.
