Hands-on with the T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide

T-Mobile continues to roll out quality Android smartphones and the myTouch 4G Slide has all the internal components of the latest and greatest smartphones with a camera that is advertised as being one of the best in the business.
Check out my full ZDNet Smartphones & Cell Phones blog post for a video walkthrough and more thoughts on the new myTouch 4G Slide.
The myTouch 4G Slide rests in a formed piece under the heavy duty lid.
The box contents include the device, SIM card, battery, USB cable, and USB A/C charger along with several pamphlets.
The bottom buttons on the MT4G Slide are actually physical buttons rather than capacitive buttons.
The Genius Button is a staple of the myTouch line and is found on the front and on the QWERTY keyboard.
There is an upper headset speaker and front facing camera found above the display.
A microUSB port is found on the lower left side for charging up your MT4G Slide.
The top left has a volume button while the top has a power button and 3.5mm headset jack.
The back of the MT4G Slide has the 8 megapixel camera and dual LED flash lights.
As you can see there is a substantial lens on the MT4G Slide.
On the lower right side you will find a dedicated camera capture button that even lets you launch the camera when the device is in standby mode.
Here you can see the back of the display when it is slid up to reveal the QWERTY keyboard.
The QWERTY keyboard is well spaced and quite wide.
There is a capacitive trackpad for navigating the device that includes an action selector when you press it in.
The right side of the keyboard shows the dual Alt and Shift keys.
The left side view shows the alignment and spacing of the keyboard.
The space bar and alt keys are shown in this view.
