Image Gallery: GTS World Racing on the Apple iPhone
Astraware has been developing games for the Palm and Windows Mobile operating systems for several years and they are famous for their high quality and enjoyable games. I was pleased to see them launch an iPhone application that takes advantage of the accelerometers in the device and think you may enjoy this car racing game as well.
After the intro screen, you will see this display to select your game mode, get tips on how to play the game, and access the game settings.
The How To... section includes a tutorial on how to play the game. Steering is conducted by simply tilting your iPhone from side-to-side.
If you tip your device forward too much as you accelerate the display will turn red and state Too Fast. Simply pull back a bit and slow down to resume game play.
You can turn your audio on or off. When you turn the included audio off you will be able to listen to your iPhone music while you race around the course.
You can use the settings to setup your steering sensitivity and controls.
You will be able to choose from 16 different countries to race in while playing GTS World Racing.

You can select from four different levels of gameplay.
You can choose from one of three cars to race with in GTS World Racing.
Selecting a vehicle then gives you a display showing some of the specifications of the vehicle you will be racing with and against.

The Formula is my favorite car to play with on the iPhone.
After you select your country, level, and car then you will see a course map prior to the start of the race.
The camera scrolls around you at the start of the race as you lineup in different positions.
If you tilt your iPhone too far forward then you will accelerate too much and the display will turn red to warn you.
You are presented with your car in front of you as you race. You cannot change the view of the race in this game.
You can pause the game, control the audio, or restart after tapping the display during a game.
The tracks and scenery changes as you select a different country.
If you go off the track you will see dust clouds/smoke behind your rear tires. You significantly slow down if you go off course so try to get back on the road as soon as possible.
