Keep your drone away from these US landmarks

The FAA has banned drones from key landmarks -- and enthusiasts must take note or face the consequences.

The new rules

The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) now bans flights up to 400 feet within the boundaries of 10 key landmarks in the United States.

From 5 October, unless permission has been gained from the US authority, drone hobbyists can face criminal charges and prosecution for flying their devices too close to these landmarks.

Statue of Liberty National Monument
