Photos: BlackBerry Boldly goes Qwerty over touch again
Can a high-res screen cut it?
BlackBerry-maker RIM has been showing off the latest addition to its smart phone line-up at the Wireless Enterprise Symposium (WES) in Orlando, Florida - named the BlackBerry Bold.

The Bold has a shiny black face and curved silver edges - but unlike Apple's iPhone device however, it does not have a touchscreen interface. Instead a generous Qwerty keyboard with sloped keys for more accurate typing takes pride of place. There is also a trackball scroller and additional navigation buttons, and the graphical user interface offers a tiled grid of clickable icons which are scrolled through via the trackball.
The device packs HSDPA - RIM's first 3.5G smart phone.

The Bold is 114mm x 66mm x14mm - slightly thicker and wider than the iPhone, and like Apple's smart phone, it has a 2-megapixel camera.

The screen is 480 x 320 pixels - a high-resolution display which RIM reckons more than makes up for the lack of a larger, touchscreen display especially when other factors - such as battery life and cost - are factored in.
Here the Bold is shown running a Matrix trailer.

The Bold has built-in GPS, and is here shown running Google Maps.
