UpdateZen

Updated for Apple's latest iOS 8 operating system, UpdateZen is a status update notifier for business users. The app, suitable for project management, has a simple interface which allows a team to connect and write updates concerning projects. Team members can also add projects and assign work to other members. To prevent high amounts of clutter, the feed acts somewhat like Twitter in keeping updates limited to 250 characters.

Robinhood

Dabbling in the stock market can result in fair returns, but for many, the process of joining the pool can be complicated and expensive. However, startup Robinhood wants to slice away the complexity and make trading stocks as easy as booking a taxi or posting a picture -- and thereby appeal to the next generation of investors, who may also enjoy trading without a commission fee.
