Google Docs has had yet another update this week. This time, the Sydney team has pitched in to allow real-time collaboration on documents via your phone. You can see who's changed a document, and then tap the screen to edit. There have also been some changes to make the user interface a little better; for instance, the introduction of pinch to zoom.

With Echoecho, you can tap on anyone in your address book. If they accept, the app shows you a map of where you both are, and you can use the app's meeting places function to choose a bar, coffee shop or restaurant to meet in. There's also a chat function to help you make plans. If your friends don't have the app, you can send invitations via text, and friends can still share where they are.

Twitter has once again tweaked its iPhone and Android apps, bringing back a few popular features that were ejected from previous versions. Android and iPhone users will once again be able to swipe a tweet to display the toolbar, which lets you reply, retweet, share or view the tweeter's profile without leaving the timeline. The app will also now tell you specifically if it's checking the contact list on your mobile device to see who's on Twitter.
iPhone users will also be able to copy and paste the text of tweets and user profiles by pressing down on the content until "Copy" pops up, and will see more options when the "Share" button is pushed. There's also better management of direct messages. Meanwhile, Android users will be happy that the new version is optimised for Ice Cream Sandwich.
