Apple dropping iTunes Plus tracks to 99 cents
ArsTechnica's Jacqui Cheng reports that Apple is set to announce that indie music labels are joining iTunes Plus, and that the company is planning a price cut from US$1.29 to US$.
EMI began selling 256kbps, DRM-free AAC tracks on the iTunes Store in May. The impending drop is believed to be in response to the Amazon MP3 store which sells individual DRM-free tracks for between US$.89 and US$.99 each.
