Are you headed to ISTE?

Come see me in Booth 357 at ISTE next week!
Written by Christopher Dawson, Contributor

Somehow, every year ISTE (the annual conference for the International Society for Technology in Education) comes along and there is some pressing reason that I can't attend what is arguably the most important ed tech conference of the year. Well this year, finally, it's my job to be there.

I'll be in Philadelphia for three days (Monday through Wednesday), spending most of my time in the WizIQ booth (booth 357, if you're interested). Even though I'll be wearing my day-job hat, giving demos, trying to avoid spewing too much marketing speak, and otherwise being (gasp!) a marketing guy, I'll be more than happy to swap out my ZDNet hat. Even if you stop by just to talk ed tech in general, you can still get some free WizIQ schwag.

I'll be providing some coverage of ISTE, too, mostly highlighting the most interesting new developments and emerging companies in ed tech (when I get a chance to escape from my booth and take a wander). If you see something particularly cool, make sure to stop by and tell me about it. I'll make a point to follow up with the company or track down their booth.

Like I said, this is my first ISTE that I haven't had to cover virtually or just get a pre-briefing or two from the various companies with a presence there. With the explosion in social and mobile learning technologies, this is going to be an incredible show. I'm never one to do anything in advance, but I'm actually already packing for Philly - if I'm excited enough not to procrastinate on packing, you know it's going to be a good show.

Hope to see you there! Stop by and say hi anytime!
