The original ASUS Eee featured a 7" LCD and has met with considerable success among consumers. It also has been piloted in schools in 1:1 programs and ASUS is cranking them out as fast as their manufacturing lines will allow.

The original ASUS Eee featured a 7" LCD and has met with considerable success among consumers. It also has been piloted in schools in 1:1 programs and ASUS is cranking them out as fast as their manufacturing lines will allow. Tuesday at CeBIT, ASUS announced a version with a 9" screen, increasing both keyboard space and screen real estate.
Although pricing remains unknown, this new size provides a better choice for older students, many of whom may find the current crop of 7" ultraportable laptops too small.
