BEA and BroadVision unite for ebusiness solutions

BEA Systems is to embed its WebLogic Server with BroadVisions' One-To-One Enterprise, forming a strategic alliance for engaging in collaborative engineering and joint marketing initiatives.

Together, the two firms will supply next-generation ebusiness solutions that will combine Java-based application servers from BEA with BroadVisions' ebusiness software applications. "We are working together to create the industry's most comprehensive ebusiness application platform," said Dr Pehong Chen, CEO of BroadVision. Bill Coleman, CEO of BEA Systems, said in a statement: "BroadVision customers now have a clear path to future-proofing their B2B and B2C application portfolios, by building on BEA WebLogic Server."
