The last country manager for CommVault moved to a different position within the business in April 2009, with the role subsequently split between the Australia-Pacific vice president and regional director of channels.

CommVault's regional vice president, Gerry Sillars, said that the job split wasn't ideal. "Neither of us have time to run what is a very significant sales operation and is extremely important in the ongoing success of CommVault Australia-Pacific and Japan, while also doing our day jobs."

The country manager will report directly to the vice president. It requires a sales professional to market CommVault products to the region, while managing smaller teams around the country. The position posts a base salary of $200,000 plus super.

"I am very pleased to advise that we already have significant interest in the role from some outstanding candidates," said Sillars.

Sillars indicated that the company would be advertising other senior roles in the near future.

CommVault Systems is based in the US and offers cloud products including file archiving, backup and data management across over 20 countries. CommVault partners with companies including Dell, McAfee, Hitachi, HP, Microsoft and Amazon Web Services to cross-sell its products.
