Cowon officially announces J3 PMP with AMOLED touchscreen

Although pictures and details have been popping up all over the web for the last week or two, Cowon has finally gotten official with news on the J3 portable media player.

At first glance, the J3 PMP is a beauty, with a brushed metal design and a sophisticated interface behind a 3.3-inch AMOLED touchscreen boasting 16 million colors. As for battery life, Cowon promises up to 64 hours of music playback and 11 hours of video playback on a single charge.

Here's what else can be found on the J3 PMP:

• JetEffect 3.0 and BBE+ sound technology
• 4GB, 8GB or 16GB of internal storage space
• microSD card expansion slot
• DMB TV tuner
• FM radio
• Bluetooth
• Built-in speaker
• Voice recorder
• Flash player

The J3 will reportedly sell for something between 189,000 and 359,000 South Korean won ($167-$318). No word on a U.S. release date yet.
