Starting today, Firefox users who are still clinging onto older versions of Firefox will be offered a chance to upgrade to the latest 3.6 release of the web browser.
Users of Firefox versions 3.0.x and 3.5.x will be offered a download of the latest browser through a pop-up that will appear after 60 seconds of keyboard inactivity:

Note: The pop-up can also be accessed vial Help -> Check for updates options too.
According to Mozilla, over 90% of add-ons are compatible with Firefox 3.6 but I guess that still leaves a 10% window for problems and lost functionality.
