Facebook adds support for video streaming to Apple TV, Google Chromecast

The feature is now available for iOS and web -- support for Android is coming.

Facebook announced on Thursday support for streaming videos on Facebook to Apple TV and Google Chromecast.

Facebook users can open a Facebook video on their phone or browser, and press the TV symbol in the top right corner of the video to stream to Apple AirPlay and Google Cast hardware.

Facebook said the AirPlay and Cast support is now available on iOS and web, with Android to follow in the coming weeks.

Social networks have been making a big video push, with users and publishers helping with a bevy of uploaded video. Twitter recently released a dedicated video app for Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Xbox One.
