Five Valentine's Day gifts for your geeky special someone

Chocolates are yummy, and flowers are pretty but don't last long. Why not give that special someone in your life something a little more interesting. You might think that giving a gadget gift for Valentine's Day is too practical and unromantic, but maybe it just shows how well you know and love someone.

Chocolates are yummy, and flowers are pretty but don't last long. Why not give that special someone in your life something a little more interesting. You might think that giving a gadget gift for Valentine's Day is too practical and unromantic, but maybe it just shows how well you know and love someone.

1. Two-Person Umbrella: It's a little on the low-end gadget side, but it's something that both of you can use. And what's more romantic than a little stroll in the rain? (You might want to pair this with another gift though, since its a bit paltry on its own.)

2. iPod Nano (PRODUCT) RED: Remember how giving a mixed tape was a romantic gift? Well, the updated version is the mixed playlist. And why not deliver it in a very pretty, red package which is not only sleek and fun, but also gives a little to charity?

3. Nintendo Wiimotes: Consider getting something the two of you can use together: his and hers-colored Nintendo Wiimotes! While they are being released on Valentine's Day itself, you can either go out to the store and buy it that day, or write a pretty IOU with glitter and doilies like in elementary school (it could turn out to be really cute...).

4. PlayStation 2 Heart-Shaped Guitar: This wireless axe works on both Rock Band and Guitar Hero, so like the Wiimotes, you can spend some quality time playing some of your favorite songs. Sure, it might look a bit childish, but some girls might find this to be cute.

5.Digital Photo Frame: Giving a photo frame with a picture inside (especially if it's a portrait of yourself), is a bit cliche and boring. But giving a digital photo frame liven the old gift up a bit, and a lot of digital frames out there, such as the Panasonic MW-10, will even let you create a slideshow to display all of your favorite and special moments together, along with music and video clips.
