iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro: How and where to get the best deals on Apple's newest phone

All four models of the iPhone 13 are now shipping. Here's what you need to know about getting one in your hands as soon as possible.
Written by Jason Cipriani, Contributing Writer

Apple's iPhone 13 lineup is off to a strong start. Preorders pushed back delivery dates for the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max until late October, early November. While the standard iPhone 13 and 13 Mini are currently back-ordered until mid-October.

Don't fret if you haven't ordered an iPhone 13 yet. Those lead times are directly from Apple's website, not Apple's retail stores, wireless carriers or retailers -- all of which will receive their own shipments now that the iPhone 13 has officially launched.

As a refresher, the iPhone 13 lineup doesn't have a drastic new look, but the notch at the top of the screen is a little smaller, and there are camera upgrades for all four models, including a new Cinematic Video mode that's impressive (and fun).

Below you'll find all of the places you can order any of the iPhone 13 models, as well as the current promotions being offered. With enough searching, you should be able to find an iPhone 13 earlier than the currently estimated ship dates.

When can I buy the iPhone 13?

Right now! The iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max officially launched on Friday, Sept. 24. However, shipping dates through Apple's web store for the various models have slipped into the middle of October, or early November, depending on the model.

Where can you find the best iPhone 13 deals?

Below you'll find the best deals we can find on the iPhone 13, be it directly from Apple, carriers or retailers. As more deals are announced, we'll add them to the list.

Apple has partnered with the main US carriers to extend their discounts and offerings on the new iPhone 13. Once you select the carrier you'd like your iPhone to be activated on, you'll see a dropdown with the carrier's respective deals.

AT&T is offering up to $800 off an iPhone 13 for new and existing customers who trade in an eligible phone and sign up for an unlimited plan. That makes the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini free, with 36 monthly payment credits.

T-Mobile is giving up to a $500 bill credit for existing customers who trade in a phone and sign up for the Magenta Max plan. The credit amount is in addition to what Apple will offer you for your trade-in, which can total $1,290 if you trade-in an iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Verizon is giving up to $800 off the iPhone 13 to existing customers. You'll need to trade in an eligible device and sign up for a Verizon 5G unlimited plan to get the full discount.

AT&T is currently offering up to $1,000 off the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max to new and existing customers with an eligible trade-in as long as they're on an unlimited plan and sign up for an installment plan for the phone. If you don't need a Pro model, you can get the iPhone 13 and 13 Mini for free with a trade-in and unlimited plan.

Verizon's iPhone 13 deals include several different options, with credits ranging from $1,200 to $1,500, depending on the model you want to purchase and the phone you're trading in. Existing customers can get anywhere from $700 to $1,000 in credits to put towards the purchase of a new iPhone 13 based on a trade-in, even if the phone is broke. The extra $500 that makes up those impressive figures I just mentioned is only for new customers who are porting their number into the wireless carrier. Verizon will give you a prepaid Mastercard to help cover the cost of switching carriers.

T-Mobile is offering up to $1,000 off an iPhone 13 with an eligible trade-in, and will allow customers to upgrade to a new iPhone every two years when you sign up for the Magenta Max plan. After two years, T-Mobile will offer you up to $800 worth of credits towards a new iPhone. T-Mobile is calling this promotion the "Forever Upgrade."

Visible has all four iPhone 13 models, and for the first time, the carrier is selling an Apple Watch (Series 7) with cellular service.

Customers who buy an iPhone 13 and port a number in will receive a free Apple HomePod Mini and a $200 digital gift card that can be spent online.

Red Pocket Mobile is offering all four iPhone 13 models and with up to $50 off the standard price. On top of the instant discount, you'll get 6 months of free service on the prepaid carrier's 50GB plan. After the 6 months end, you'll pay $50 per month for service.

Best Buy will give customers who preorder an iPhone 13 up to $720 in credit with a qualifying activation and a trade-in of an iPhone 8 or newer. If you want an iPhone 13 Pro, you'll get up to $1,000 in credits towards your order with a qualifying activation and a trade-in of an iPhone 11 or newer.

Walmart is carrying the iPhone 13 in its stores and selling it online. Currently, you can get up to $1,100 off the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max on AT&T. $100 of that credit comes directly from Walmart, while the rest will come from AT&T in exchange for a qualifying trade-in.

For the iPhone 13 and 13 Mini, you can get up to $800 off. AT&T is giving up to $700 for an eligible trade-in, and Walmart is taking $100 off the price of the phone.
