Lexar on Monday announced its line of Crucial solid-state drives, the "fastest, highest capacity Crucial SSDs to date."
The calling card of the new drives are their fast read and write speeds: The flagship 256GB Crucial M225 SSD offers 250MB/sec read speed and a 200MB/sec write speed, for example.
The new Crucial SSDs are said to improve operating system boot and application load times. The drives utilize a SATA 2.0 (3Gb/s) interface and feature MLC NAND flash components housed in a 2.5-inch drive enclosure.
The Crucial SSDs are available in 64GB (for $169.99 USD), 128GB (for $329.99), and 256GB (for $599.99) capacities online. They feature a five-year warranty.
