Nintendo rolling out 3DS Demo Pods tour across America

Nintendo is pulling out all the stops ahead of the U.S. launch of the 3DS on March 27. The gaming giant is bringing Demo Pods on a tour across America this month.

Nintendo is pulling out all the stops ahead of the U.S. launch of the 3DS on March 27. The gaming giant is bringing Demo Pods on a tour across America this month.

Mobile promo squads will be offering demos of the latest handheld gaming console at over 40 retail locations nationwide. Some of the titles that will be available for sampling include Street Fighter IV 3D Edition, Madden NFL Football, and LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars.

But if you live near one of the four locations detailed at the bottom of this post, then you should be in for a real treat as Nintendo will be posting full-scale Demo Pods in these cities. All of the Demo Pods will be open from March 11 to April 3, except New York City where the display will be open until March 30.

New York City

  • Grand Central Terminal (Vanderbilt Hall, West Side)
  • Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m.

Chicago

  • Citigroup Center (entrance to Ogilvie Transportation Center)
  • Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m.

San Francisco

  • Pier 39 (Main Entrance Plaza)
  • Monday through Sunday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.

Los Angeles

  • Third Street Promenade (1300 block)
  • Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
  • Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m.-10 p.m.
  • Sunday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
