Every day ZDNet UK News will bring you two Nuggets -- one just before lunch and the other just before you leave the office. So if you want the latest news on the weird and wonderful gadgets that bless our beloved industry, bookmark ZDNet UK News -- and check out our Nuggets, twice a day.

At the end of the month we will provide a roundup of our favourite gadgets which you could win in our monthly Nuggets competition.

Roughty toughty phone for roughty toughty folk...

In the spirit of ‘tough toys for tough boys' Ericsson has announced a shock, dust and water-resistant mobile phone, due for release later this year. The RG250 Pro comes with Gore-Tex membranes and rubber gaskets to protect against water and dust, with a robust magnesium frame and rubber moulding to protect it from being knocked about.

Perfect for tradesman, construction workers and cowboys -- or for those of you who tend to drop your mobiles on crowded dancefloors (hate that!). It comes in an outward-bound orange or action man dark green, gives four and a half hours talk time or 135 hours standby and features both GSM 900 and GSM 1800 band networks. No price is available yet -- all Ericsson says is that it won't be cheap.
