Every day ZDNet UK News will bring you two Nuggets -- one just before lunch and the other just before you leave the office. So if you want the latest news on the weird and wonderful gadgets that bless our beloved industry, bookmark ZDNet UK News -- and check out our Nuggets, twice a day.

At the end of the month we will provide a roundup of our favourite gadgets which you could win in our monthly Nuggets competition.

Upgrade for the Macites

Palm Computing has updated its Macintosh connectivity kit, Palm MacPac to V2.0. The Palm Desktop (included in the MacPac) software 2.1 now includes a new personal information manager, based on the Claris Organiser software that 3Com nabbed last year.

Palm has also redesigned its HotSync software, designed native to the Macintosh, in an attempt to speed up data synchronisation. Features such as calendar, contacts, tasks and notes are integrated into one application. The MacPac includes a standard serial cable, however companies such as Entrega and Keyspan offer USB adapters for the Palm. The MacPac 2 is available for free download for previous users; otherwise it costs $14.95 (about £10).
