The new unit gives iMac and PC users the ability to put down tracks on blank CD-R discs, write and rewrite on CD-RW discs and then read from CD discs like CD-ROM, CD-DA and CD-I. To make it all come together LaCie has bundled Toast 3.8 CD writing software for Macintosh, EZ-CD creator and Direct CD for Windows 98.
