Sony Japan has debuted a bedazzled point-and-shoot camera, the DSC-W350D. You might write it off based on the fact that its pink and is covered in rhinestones, but this ultra-compact camera is not too shabby.

Dubbed as a "model for women," the Sony pocket cam is available in white and pink, and the cameras also come with similarly-designed protective cases (seen below).

And while Sony was obviously concerned with making this camera shiny and fancy on the outside, they didn't skimp on the specs. The DSC-W350D boasts a 14-megapixel sensor, a 4x Carl Zeiss optical zoom wide-angle lens, ISO up to 3200 and a 2.7-inch TFT LCD screen.

The Sony cam also supports 720p HD video recording in MPEG-4, and some of the more nifty shooting features include panorama and self portrait.

The ladies of North America will have to wait, however, as the DSC-W350D will only be available in Japan on April 23 for ¥27,000 (approximately $287). No word on a US price or release date yet.
