Sony Vaio P-series updated with 1.6GHz Atom, 128GB SSD
The underpowered but oversexy (I know, I know) Sony Vaio P-series "Lifestyle PC," which translates in the real world to a ladies' wallet-shaped netbook, is getting a slight kick in the proverbial pants thanks to a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom CPU and a 128GB solid state drive.

Sony is accepting preorders for the new configuration (VGN-P698E/R, in case you're wondering), which also adds a Verizon WWAN module and GPS radio.
Sadly, it's still a very, very expensive machine for the guts, less so the form-factor: $1,499.
Here's hoping more computer manufacturers step up to the plate and offer a system that can compete with the P-series.
