In a shot across Best Buy Geek Squad's bow, Target on Friday announced the launch of a nationwide television delivery and installation service for $99.
Target will roll out the service beginning Sunday -- just in time for the coming Super Bowl, of course. The big box retailer is partnering with Zip Express Installation for the service, which includes set-up, installation and demonstration and guarantees a three-hour delivery window and one-hour installation window.
It's also available for TVs not purchased at Target.
Here's the price rundown:
- TV delivery and set-up starting at $99
- TV on–wall installation starting at $199
- TV recycling for $50
- Video game console set-up for $99
- Home network set-up for $99
In a swipe at Best Buy Mobile, Target also said it was piloting a full-service mobile service, "Bullseye Mobile Solutions," in more than 100 stores.
