The open source world was rocked today following news that the Royal Family has abandoned Linux in favour of Microsoft IIS web server application. The move ends Her Majesty's two-year dalliance with the open-source operating system. According to reports on US wires, the Palace switched to a new service provider running Microsoft server software after its former ISP ended hosting operations.
