It is not exactly news that people can steal data if they have access to it. But it is true that enhanced access makes data theft more likely.

It is not exactly news that people can steal data if they have access to it. But it is true that enhanced access makes data theft more likely. A case in point is a proof of concept program written by this blogger called slurp.exe that when installed on an iPod allows it to glean particular file types from the machine it is connected to. A pretty convenient way of backing up your Microsoft Office documents! Or, a great way to steal data. The author dubs the process Pod-Slurping, which is a great term.
