TiVo, the personal TV device maker, announced on Tuesday an agreement with television service provider, British Sky Broadcasting (quote: BSY) to bring personal television to the United Kingdom.
Personal TV uses a PC-like hard drive to search out TV programs to record, depending on the viewers' likes and dislikes. Users can then watch the program at a later date and pause, rewind and fast-forward the show as if watching a VHS tape.
The service will be co-branded by both companies, and the product and service are expected to be available in retail outlets this coming autumn.
