Enough is enough...

DRAM maker Toshiba has quit the business as it realigns its product strategy. The company has severed its strategic links with German chip manufacturer Infineon and said it will reduce its global chip workforce by 10 per cent to 29,000. Toshiba is selling its Manassas, Virginia-based chip fabrication plant to Micron Semiconductor, which is itself consolidating with Hynix.
