Along with a GPU update on the Qosmio X500 series, Toshiba is upgrading four of its powerful notebooks with built-in 4G WiMax connectivity.

The quartet consists of the Satellite M645, Satellite A665, Portégé R705 and Satellite E205. WiMax coverage is available in 54 cities already, so for consumers on-the-go, this is a helpful option.

Most of the other specs on these Toshiba laptops remain the same, with a few exceptions. The base price for the Satellite A665 seems to have jumped ever slightly from $799.99 to $804.99. An unusual number, but that's what it is now. Pricing for the Portégé R705-P35 still starts at $899.99, while the Satellite M645 and Satellite E205 start at  $759.99 and $1,079.99 respectively.

The WiMax-enabled versions of these portable computers will launch in stores on September 26.
