Toshiba has rolled out four new laptops within the Satellite Pro series. Targeted toward a crowd interesting in using their portable computers for either work or leisure, the new Satellite Pro notebooks have some powerful processor options.

The quartet of computers consists of the 13.3-inch L630, 15.6-inch C650/C650D, the 15.6-inch L650, and 17.3-inch L670. Customers can choose between Intel Core i3 or i5 CPUs, while the product names that end in "D" will arrive with an AMD Athlon II dual-core processor.

Then there are little qualities that make each computer special, such as the L630 incorporating a 3D sensor for the hard drive to be ready for shocks and drops. The L650 gets an HD, LED back-lit display, while the "no-frills" L670 will probably have an attractive price tag given that it's intended for buyers on a "tight budget."

Packaged in a super sleek, black textured finish, here's some of the options available for Satellite Pro notebooks:

  • Windows 7 Professional OS
  • Up to 8GB of DDR3 memory
  • Graphics: Intel HM55 chipset w/GMA HD or ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5145
  • Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR
  • 802.11 b/g/n Wi-FI
  • Gigabit Ethernet
  • Optional Blu-ray/DVD-RW drive
  • Dolby advanced audio technology
  • Connectivity: HDMI-out, two USB 2.0 ports, eSATA/USB combo port, multi-card reader
  • VGA webcam with face recognition

Pricing and release dates haven't been mentioned yet for the US, but those living in Europe, the Middle East and Africa should be seeing these laptops popping up in the second quarter of 2010.
