Twinhead, SNI jot down notebook changes

Notebook manufacturer Twinhead has settled on a non-modular notebook design for its Slimnote 9 which will replace older modular and docking station versions in the range.

A 120MHz Pentium-based Slimnote 9 notebook with 16Mb RAM, 810Mb hard drive, 11.3-inch dual-scan display, 10-speed CD-ROM drive, Zoomed Video (ZV) port, fast infra-red and lithium-ion battery, costs £1,845 + VAT. Options include 133MH and 150MHz Pentium processors and a 12.1-inch TFT screen.

Separately, Siemens Nixdorf (SNI) has launched two notebook expansion devices for its Scenic Mobile multimedia notebooks. The MobiDock PCI docking unit (£499 + VAT ) can be used with Scenic Mobile 500 and 700 systems. The QuickPort PCI port replicator costs £112 + VAT for the Scenic Mobile 500 version, and £190 + VAT for a version which can be used with the Scenic Mobile 700 notebook.
