Video game console growth flat

Use of videogame consoles was flat during the last year in households with PCs and children, according to research firm MetaFacts. The Encinitas, Calif.-based firm found that more than 70 percent of the nation's households with kids 19 or younger use computers and that the PC is increasingly a hub for entertainment. The PC has also encouraged the use of digital cameras, which increased their penetration into homes from about 25 percent to about 31 percent during the last year. --Richard Shim, Special to ZDNet News
