Western Digital has introduced the My Passport AV, a new 320GB portable media drive dedicated to storing video content and compatibility with multiple types of media players.

The My Passport AV is a fairly standard plug-and-play, external HDD. It does offer quite a bit of space for the price, but it doesn't have many other outstanding qualities. It does come with a stand and an extra-long cable for more storage/placement options.

In case you're interested in just what this HDD can play with, along with Windows and Mac OS systems, users can connect the My Passport AV via USB to:

  • Western Digital TV family of media players
  • 2010 and later Sony camcorders with Direct Copy functionality
  • Sony 2010 Blu-ray Disc Players including BDP-S370, BDP-S470, BDP-S570
  • Sony 2010 Blu-ray Disc Home Theater Systems including BDV-E370, BDV-E570
  • JVC LT-32P689 TV
  • Samsung LN32A550 TV
  • Phillips 42PFLA332D TV
  • Microsoft Xbox 360
  • Sony PlayStation3

The My Passport AV is available for shipping now, priced at $109.99.
