Windows 10 Mobile Build 10166 is going to Windows Insiders on the Fast Ring on July 10."There are lots of small changes and feature tweaks in this build, but our major focus over the past few builds on mobile has been about improvements to core quality," said Insider Preview program chief Gabe Aul in a blog post.

Microsoft has fixed most of the known issues from Build 10149, which Microsoft rolled out in late June, Aul said. The bug making the Lock screen appear frozen without the date and time for up to 10 minutes should now be fixed, as should phone unlocking issues connected with users' PINs.There are other UI tweaks, such as colors in apps now appearing correctly.

Microsoft also has improved reliability of app downloads from the common Windows Store (which no longer has the beta tag). The old Store has been removed. Updated and improved apps are available in the new Store along with today's build, as well.

Microsoft plans to start rolling out Windows 10 for PCs and tablets on July 29; Windows 10 Mobile for Windows Phones and small tablets is expected later this year.
