Wireless developers get dedicated portal

The wireless development community gets its own dedicated portal on Monday with the launch of Anywhere YouGo.com. The resource will provide news, tools and community for all those involved in developing WAP, Bluetooth and other wireless applications.

The online hub will also act as a meeting point for wireless developers and businesses implementing wireless projects.

"Developers have repeatedly told us that it's too time-consuming to find information needed to develop applications that work on multiple wireless platforms," stated Anywhere YouGo.com chief executive, Lee Wright, "We've solved that."

As well as wireless Internet applications and telecom news, the portal will offer directories, tutorials, discussion forums, a career centre and e-commerce opportunities.

The company hopes that the hub will address the needs of the burgeoning wireless industry by allowing IT managers and business developers the ability to share ideas, test concepts and locate resources.
