Note the new 20 megapixel camera module
The microSD card, volume buttons, and power button occupy the right side
The microUSB port and headphone jack are found here
The nanoSIM card is embedded in the upper left side
The IR port and antennas are found under the black plastic
Note the dual color and edge transition
There is a rather drastic edge on the One M9
The HTC One M9 is a refined design
Note the design improvements going from the M7 to the M9
You won't find the power button on the top of the M9
The microUSB and headphone jack remains in a consistent location
While not drastic, the M9 is slightly shorter than the M8
I personally prefer the single volume button on the M8, especially now that the power button looks like the volume button
