Traveling with a laptop can be a bit of a pain when you are trying to get through security and need to remove your laptop and trust it to the TSA officials as it moves through the x-ray machines. With checkpoint friendly bags like the Skooba Checkthrough Brief you can leave your laptop securely in position adjacent to all your other gear and rest easy that no one has to handle your laptop. Every test that I conducted in real trips through security have been successful with the Skooba Checkthrough bag and I recommend this outstanding quality case.
The bag unzips into two compartments that then can be laid flat to pass through the x-ray machine. The two pieces are connected at the bottom with solid material.
My 15 inch MacBook Pro fits nicely into the laptop compartment. The laptop compartment has a clear plastic side so that TSA officials can see what is inside.
I found the back strap to be very useful for connecting the Skooba Checkpoint to my rolling carry one with the telescoping handle. The Skooba Checkpoint slides right over the handle.
There are a few compartments on the case and this one can be found on the outside of the top flap.
The front flap is padded and secures tightly to the case with a solid latch.
In addition to the large laptop compartment there is another area where you can pack lots of gear. I packed in all my accessories and Kindle here.
There is a zippered compartment on the front for storing smaller items.
There is a key chain ring and also small compartments for placing cards and money into.
There are a couple of heavy duty feet to protect the bottom of the bag.
A logo is found on the bottom right of the Checkthrough bag.
