Apple bundles MS Office on Power Macs

Apple and Microsoft continue to cosy up to each other with the announcement today that, in Europe, some Power Macintosh systems will have Microsoft Office pre-installed from September 1, 1996.

Selected configurations of Power Mac 7600 and 8200 units will arrive with Office 4.2.1, comprising Word 6.0.1, Excel 5.0, PowerPoint 4.0, and a client licence for Microsoft or Quarterdeck Mail for AppleTalk.
