Google on Thursday announced availability of two more colors for its Daydream View virtual reality headset, as promised.

View is now available in Crimson and Snow colors for $79, adding flare to the Slate model Google offered during the Daydream View's launch this fall. To complement the new color schemes, the View's controller has been changed to white.

Crimson and Snow are available now for pre-order on the Google Store in the US and UK, with shipping beginning on December 8. Google will honor the free Daydream View promo codes it gave Pixel and Pixel XL buyers, on the new colors.

For $79, users get the headset and a controller for interacting with virtual reality apps and games available through an app store. Similar to Samsung's Gear VR platform, Daydream leverages a compatible smartphone to power and provide the screen of the VR experience.
