The Black Friday ads are coming fast and furious now, with the recently merged Office Depot and OfficeMax offering the latest one. While it doesn't have any of the Apple products popular every holiday shopping season, the newly combined retailer doesn't lack for deals on plenty of other tablets and PCs.

Those include a pair of big names with ultra-cheap tablets. The just-released HP Stream 7 Windows slate was already budget priced at $99.99, but Office Depot/OfficeMax lops another $20 off for the Black Friday holiday. An even better deal is the 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite Android tablet, which will only run $89.99 or $70 off the regular price. The retailer will also discount the Galaxy Tab 4 tablets in line with various competitors: the 7-inch for $149.99 ($30 less than the current price on Samsung's website), the 8-inch for $199.99 ($40 less), and the 10.1-inch for $249.99 ($70 less). A final tablet sale is the Lenovo A10 10.1-inch Android with a keyboard dock for $199.99.

While Best Buy has an 11.6-inch Chromebook as a Black Friday special, Office Depot/OfficeMax is selling a 13.3-inch Toshiba Chromebook with an Intel (presumably Celeron) processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB SSD for $199.99. It's also joining Dell with a pair of Windows 8.1 laptops that are priced under $200, including one well under that price point. The Toshiba Satellite C55 includes an Intel CPU, 2GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive, and a 15.6-inch display for just $159.99. For $20 more there's a similarly spec'd Dell Inspiron 15, but the RAM is doubled to 4GB.

There are many other laptop sales, such as a pair of convertible laptops -- the $229.99 HP Pavilion x2 with 10.1-inch screen, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB hard drive, and the Dell Inspiron 11 3000 with Intel Pentium CPU, 4GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive, and 11.6-inch display for $369.99, $20 more than the doorbuster price offered by Dell itself. If you are looking for maximum screen size, you can choose between the 17.3-inch Toshiba Satellite C750 with an AMD A4 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 500GB hard drive for $279.99 or the 17.3-inch HP Pavilion Touchsmart, also with A4 processor and 4 gigs of RAM, but 750 gigs of hard drive space and touchscreen capabilities for $399.99. Finally, those seeking more power can find it in the Toshiba Satellite S55t, which features a beefier Core i7-4710HQ processor, 8GB of RAM, terabyte hard drive, and 15.6-inch touchscreen for $599.99, or $100 less than the current price on the Office Depot website.

There are four desktop deals listed in the Black Friday ad, two towers and two all-in-one (AIO) PCs. At $269.99, the Dell Inspiron 3043 AIO comes with a Celeron N2830 CPU, 4GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive, and 19.5-inch display, while the HP Pavilion AIO includes an AMD E2 processor and DVD burner and the same amount of system memory and hard drive space, but the 23-inch 1080p HD screen pushes the price to $399.99. In terms of towers, there's a Dell Inspiron for $399.99 that includes a Core i5 chip, 8GB of RAM, and a 1TB hard drive, whereas the HP Pavilion Envy features 12GB of RAM, two terabytes of hard drive space, AMD A10-6700 processor, and built-in Wi-Fi for $499.99.

Note that many of the discounts promoted in the Office Depot/Office Max ad are far greater than what you can currently see on the company's website, which has sales on many of these items through November 15. The Black Friday prices do indeed provide additional savings, but in some case the savings may be less than $50 compared to what you can get right now.
