When the iPad first shipped I reviewed an app that featured some cool animations along with the weather: Weather HD. Since that time there have been all sorts of free and paid apps that have shipped that give you more than enough information on the weather. So, how does an app differentiate itself and still deliver the weather? Enter Real Weather Girls.

Real Weather Girls shows you all of the weather you can handle, but does it by featuring a specific girl for each city around the globe. So far there are 12 girls to choose from, with 12 locations being highlighted. In addition to giving you the weather, each girl has a specialty that she will share details on as the days unfold. It's like reality TV with the weather as the baseline.

For a limited time the app is free, but even when it's not on sale, it's only $2.99.

People tend to be hooked on reality TV. If that's your thing, you'll definitely love this app since it features a video blog-type offering for each of the girls. I should also mention that the production quality is definitely professional, so you'll feel like you're watching a well-produced TV show, while you enjoy getting your dose of today's weather.

For a preview of what the app will deliver, check out the video and screenshots below.
