Pre-orders for Samsung Electronics' Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will begin on April 7 and run until April 17, the company announced.

Pre-ordering customers in South Korea will get the phones on April 18, and will be able to use them before official sales begin on April 21.

In the US and Canada, the phones will arrive as early as April 18. Those who get their phones before April 21 will also be able to use them right away, a Samsung spokesman confirmed.

In its home country, Galaxy S8 will come in black, silver, and the new color orchid grey. The S8 Plus will come in coral blue and orchid grey.

There will be a 6GB RAM version for the Galaxy S8 Plus, which will come in black, the company said, and pre-ordering customers can get a Samsung Dex -- the new docking station that allows consumers to use their phones like a PC via monitor and keyboard -- for free.

Samsung is running 3,000 pre-sale tryout zones for the new phones and customers can pre-order from there or any retailers run by local carriers.

Those who buy the phones before May 31 can apply for Samsung Mobile Care. The company will choose 50,000 S8 users to offer a year-long warranty for battery exchanges and 50 percent discounts to repair broken screens.

Analysts in South Korea estimate that the Galaxy S8 will help the South Korean tech giant reach record profits, as high as 12 trillion won, backed by strong performance of its chip business.

Samsung has doubled the initial stock for the S8 and S8 Plus compared to the S7, its mobile boss said.
