We take a look at Apple's new 10.5-inch iPad Pro and Apple-made accessories for the tablet.
Apple's iPad Pro lineup now consists of the 10.5-inch model (pictured) and an upgraded 12.9-inch model.
The familiar look, but new size of the iPad Pro is appealing for a few reasons.
For starters, the bezels have been trimmed down, resulting in a bigger display without a significant increase in overall size.
Silver, Space Gray, Gold and Rose Gold color schemes are still available for the new iPad Pro.
Naturally, Wi-Fi only and LTE variants are also available.
Storage options now start at 64 GB, jumping to 256 GB, and 512 GB.
Remember when storage started at 16 GB?
The iPad Pro now features a 12-megapixel camera with 4K HD video. The front camera is 7-megapixel.
Apple's $159 Smart Keyboard cover for the iPad Pro 10.5 is a full-sized keyboard, unlike the smaller, and now discontinued, 9.7-inch iPad Pro's keyboard cover.
Unfortunately, Apple hasn't added a method to adjust the viewing angle of the Smart Keyboard cover for the iPad Pro line.
The iPad Pro line has always had superb audio performance, and that trend continues on the new models.
Four speakers are found on the iPad Pro.
The Smart Keyboard's keys haven't changed from the previous version. That is to say, those who prefer very little key travel when typing will be pleased with the keyboard.
The Smart Keyboard is powered by Apple's Smart Connector tech. Meaning, you don't have to worry about charging the keyboard and your iPad Pro.
The Smart Keyboard doesn't add too much weight or thickness when closed on the iPad Pro.
The soft material also protects your screen from scratches when the keyboard cover is closed.
Alongside the new iPad Pros, Apple introduced the $129 Leather Sleeve.
The sleeve stores the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil.
Having the Apple Pencil and iPad Pro in the same carrying case is convenient. But at $129, is it worth it?
The iPad Pro slides right in, and fits snugly in the leather sleeve. It's not too snug, though.
In fact, there's enough room for the iPad Pro with a Smart Keyboard inside the leather sleeve.
For those who have an Apple Pencil, there's also a leather pencil holder without the added bulk of the sleeve if that's more your speed.
