HP has updated its range of business notebooks featuring 2011's Intel Sandy Bridge processors.

The ProBook 5330m and EliteBooks 2560p and 2760p are ultraportables that offer the company's ProtectTools security suite, which allows centralised management of client PCs. HP unveiled the notebooks at the same time as its new consumer notebooks on Monday.

The 13.3-inch ProBook 5330m (pictured above) is less than one inch thick. It has a brushed aluminium chassis and a backlit keyboard, and is the first of HP's business line-up to feature the Beats Audio technology that derives from the company's partnership with rapper and producer Dr Dre.

The 5330m weighs just under 1.8kg and uses Intel's standard-voltage, second-generation Core i3 or Core i5 processors. It has a fingerprint sensor while Intel's vPro virtualisation technology is optional.

The notebook will go on sale in June, with configurations starting at £499 excluding VAT.

HP revealed its larger Sandy Bridge-based 2011 notebooks in February.

The EliteBook 2560p is the smallest and lightest in HP's high-end business notebook range, with a diagonal screen size of only 12.5 inches and a weight of 1.67kg.

It includes an optical drive, which is a feature not present in rival manufacturer Lenovo's 12.5-inch range.

The 2560p will go on sale in June with a starting price of £699 excluding VAT, depending on the configuration chosen. A docking station will also be available, although the UK pricing and availability of this are yet to be confirmed.

The HP EliteBook 2760p is similar in its dimensions to the 2560p, but has a swivelling screen that allows it to be used in a tablet format.

That feature adds significantly to the device's cost, as the 2760p comes in at a starting price of £1,199 excluding VAT.

In slate mode, it can take finger or pen input. Both the 2560p and 2760p come with either Core i5 or Core i7 processors, Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 and vPro technology.
