Sun's 8-socket server supports 8 Opteron or Barcelona processors. Each processor can run up to 120W TDP (Thermal Design Power) which means eight 3.0 GHz dual-core Opteron 2222SE chips or eight Barcelona chips can be used. The system being shown has eight 1.8 GHz Barcelona CPUs which are either 68W or 95W TDP chips. The system has a total of 32-cores.
