Fujitsu have put accelerometers on cows to determine the best time to inseminate them. They discovered that cows inseminated in the first four hours of estrus are more likely to produce female calves, cows inseminated in the last four hours are more likely to produce male calves. This will lead towards a substantial increase of production in intensive cattle farms.
