Disney's Mix Stick audio player ($50) has been upgraded from 128MB to 512MB. It includes a new "MixIt" feature that randomly skips through songs and can be used to create random playlists. It also has an expansion slot for Disney Mix Clips audio cards. Disney offers a chrome version sans character themes (shown here) to lure the older end of its targeted 6- to 12-year-old demographic.

In addition to its updated audio player, Disney has unveiled a multimedia version with 2.2-inch LCD screen that shows photos, plays movies, WMV video, and WMA or MP3 audio content. The device takes both Disney Mix audio and Disney Max movie video cards. A USB port allows content to be downloaded to the device from a PC or Mac. The Disney Mix Max media player ($100) has 512MB of internal memory that holds 240 songs, or five hours of video. The built-in rechargeable battery is good for a two-hour movie or eight hours of music.
